An American Girl

Today a very special American Girl from Texas, Madeline Anderson is being laid to rest.
She is the Granddaughter of Judy Harper, a fellow artist and close friend. Madeline at 13 was also a budding artist, with all the spark and fire that comes with youth. She loved her American doll, far superior she said , than her contemporary doll, Barbie. So today, in Squiggeeland we thought we would celebrate , all the young American girls, our future. Sadly Madeline was only here for a short time, but made her mark on the hearts of those who loved her spirit , her talent and her ability to make her grandmother laugh with joy..
A special prayer today for Madeline , a sweet soul , that will be dearly missed by all...

Thank you - this is so very beautiful. Josefina was our favorite, and I taught her to knit so we could make shawls for her. Her little sister Julia had Barbie - and Madeline said she really got sick of looking at all that pink stuff. LOL
