The lily and iris are my two favorite flowers...the are very strong graphic flowers, that are alwaysa joy to paint......the very traditional boarder in golds is a nice contrast to these lilies that seem to move ...not all flowers seem to flow, some flowers are so dense and self contained, like a daisy, or rose....I think that is why I am attracted to this very beautiful flower...

So true - and they have nice, broad petals that are great to paint. These are beautiful. The blue iris is still my favorite, tho'
Roses are my favorites, but the lilies are very beautiful. The center would make a lovely little spring ornament, wouldn't it? I love small ornaments to hang on my bulletin board at work to remind me life isn't just work-work-work!

The lilies are wonderful, and mine are growing. I will post photos when they are in bloom! So many colors!
