Custom Stockings

When you look at the slide show , you will see such a variety of designs, shapes and composition in this sampling of Custom Christmas stockings...... some families like to have all the stocking match , complement each other, so as a designer you try to capture the feel of the other stockings...hard sometimes...as no two designer have the same hardware in their head...
and many stitchers have a need to give you a list of elements that you have to include in a Christmas design..this two is hard...and then their are some customers that give you a very vague idea of what they want and it is up to you to try to capture the feel, you think they are looking for....It is just this reason that my custom stocking are a cross section of soup to nuts...
and have the look of many designers, not just one...lol...it is rare that a customer wants a traditional Santa , sleigh with reindeer , tree, fireplace .....all the things that you think of as Christmas, certainly not Snoopy flying a plane....but the traditional theme is what you are looking for, there are literally thousands of designs out there sold by companies that specialize in Christmas...
I myself enjoy the custom stockings..they always tell a story and are unique in the extreme.....
and most of all m, make the customer so happy...and feeling special...I love it....Needlepoint at it's best....
