Squiggee is Green

I worked up this little PC Santa..Santa Goes Green...and to give him a little zip, I blended some DMC cotton floss...with the a little DMC metallic thread...to give his under scarf a tweed with sparkle....it compliments the sparkle in his pom pom ( much brighter in person)...and used french knots done in DMC floss for his beard....I love french knots...the only fancy stitch I mastered, when I first was taught to stitch in the 70's...lol.....compared to all the stitches now , it hardly impresses anyone but my husband and the dogs..lol...good enough for me...I am after all, a painter in the end...
fyi...it is a bit-h to add the DMC metallic...it slips and slides like crazy...but gives a great effect....

Pat's right--he's darling and so warm lbundled up in this cold weather!

There are a lot of metallic threads available. You might find another brand less of a pain to deal with, but I must say Green Santa was worth the effort!

I like Accentuate for the blending filament - very easy to use, and very pretty. I comes in zillions of colors, too, as well as gold and silver. I can't do nice French knots - mine fall out.
