We here in Squiggeeland have a new fellow...first in a new series of shaped Turtles...he is about the same size as the little crabs and frogs.....all stuffed cuties together...
He is a Red-eared Slider Turtle...I think we just might call him Mr. Slide...sounds like a villain in a Dickens's novel...

I want him. Joe has one in his pond where he sits in the evening. We love those things. He's absolutely beautiful!! I would make him a paperweight for his desk. "Slide" is a very fitting name.

He is cute! More turtles! We have painted turtles here, with golden rimmed eyes and orange or yellow patterns on their tortoiseshell backs.
They have the most delicate little toes and claws on their feet.
