A finished rug

I just received, this wonderful picture of a rug ,I did for a very talented stitcher, Inez...
I am so impressed when I see a large project finished in such record time....many big projects I have painted, I suspect never make it to completion...I can understand that...being the fan of the quick stitching project ....but I do love needlepoint rugs ...... it is rare to see one completed...at least in my lifetime...
many are half finished in a trunk I fear, waiting for the next generation to take a crack at it...lol...
I am always so pleased to get a photo of a finished design..
FYI....this lovely lady has a house full of completed needlepoint rugs....my hero!

That is a beauty, for sure. It's a pity that people don't make needlepoint rugs like they used to. When I left my dh, I had to leave behind my "Phoenix Imari" rug that was half finished - it just wouldn't fit into the car with six kids. It got left behind on the farm.
