In the midst of such a flurry of activity here in Squiggeeland, I finally got this rug finished and off to it's home .....it is hard to work on a big project that requires concentration to count the painted tassels, when your attention is diverted, and you constantly have to stop and start......a lot of extra work to set up the new distributor....especially when she is headed to St. Charles....so many loose ends to take care of from the last distributor, to make sure that Margaret has a great show...
and, bottom line ...I am the only one that knows how it all fits together....surprisingly, all is set, and there has also been a flurry of interest in what Squiggee has that is new....all the new stuff will be seen for the first time at St. Charles, but we are already taking orders....in some ways this is good, and Margaret has already proven, she might be new to the business, but she is organized , efficient and really loves people...we seem to be a great team........I feel I have made a very positive decision....
my assistant/husband and I have been so busy that the dog children have felt a little neglected...
Squiggee has been bitchy...and Omar just wild...stealing bead packets and an assortment of strange things that he either chews up or hides in his cubby(dog bed)...he and his Daddy have discovered a mutual love of armpit farts....if you are not familiar with this particular term..then you need to watch "Back To School", in which Rodney Dangerfield demonstrates this move on a diving board.....Omar goes absolutely loopy, and I can't stop laughing...oh to have a big dinner party, and ask my husband to call the dog, and he does the arm pit fart and Omar comes a running...who needs a dog whistle?......just part of a normal day here in Squiggeeland !..lol
FYI...the rug is 24" x 36" on 13st and will be in the customers powder room....this design was originally based on a doll house rug I did in the 80's....usually it is the reverse and a big rug is down sized to a doll house size....

Gail - It's a beautiful rug. I'm sure the stitchee will be extremely pleased with it. I would love to see that finished. Glad your new distributor is working out so very well. I'd love to see an arm-pit fart call a dog. lol
