Gertie the giraffe is the first in a new Squiggee series of little shaped animals...just right out of Squiggees head....Gertie went away for a summer holiday to AZ where my good friend and great stitcher Pamela Dick preformed her magic...her mane is all perfect french knots...one twist towards the edge and two twists on the inside ...so it forms this absolutely wonderful sculpted shape....she also has black patent leather hooves....all she is missing is the red bow on her tail and the two brown pom poms on top of her horns...I will let the finisher add the embellishments.....
she is on 18st and only 7" tall......she will have at least two of her friends along side her at Longbeach....right now she is going solo to Camden, Maine so Stitchery Square can make her complete...how lucky Squiggee is to have such great friends that stitch with such love....
FYI...you might want to check out Mr. Squiggee's blog ...he is at it again....unplugged to say the least...It is always interesting to read another take on the business of needlepoint wholesale....
