This little guy is a custom 13st 10sq pillow . He is "Rags ...the Yorkie",a dog attached to a very pink tongue. Most dog portraits I do , the customer requests that I have the mouth closed ,but they invariably send me photos of their pooch with the mouth open and tongue out. This customer wanted the tongue in living pink ! So there we go..I did paint the tongue first and tried to have it look like a tongue and not just something strange. I then proceeded to match the dog to his tongue. In the end ,the dog looked as crazy as his photos and the customer was pleased .Rags is a cutie, tongue and all. My husband kept passing by the drawing table and asking ," did I want his tongue out like that"...I replied , "not up to me ...that is what custom is all about...whatever the customer requests"......lol.......
we hear in Squiggeeland just love the pooches !...and their tongues are just the icing on the cake !!!
