When I was packing up the studio to go out west I came across some old slides and was instantly taken back to my needlepoint designing roots....It was 1972 when I started fresh out of college as an apprentice at the ANC ( American Needlework Center) ...I started in a little back room painting stock...my first piece to conquer and paint on stitch was four or five small purple hippos....above is my work area when I made it to the front room and designed custom work and stock for the ANC and the Madonna and Child is on of those first pieces...notice the small g after the WASH DC...that was my signature....boy does this all flood me with memories...in some ways it feels a million years ago and then in other ways seems just like yesterday...
these slides were like a little treasure i found...I have some of my first two apartments and some old family pictures and some of the first time I took care of my God Son Baby John....he is now almost 40...lol...woosh does time fly...
more memories later...
FYI....I am now in the WEST...no shit......Bethesda Chevy Chase/Washington Girl meets the West....we will talk later....I am a bit of a fish out of water...I can actually see the dam rocky mountains...Kanas...you wouldn't believe nothing could just take your breath away....

For me, it's Heaven where you are. Watch out for Jeremiah Johnson.
I live in the West, too, and just love it. Midwest girl meets mountains and loves it!
If you need to break away and get back to your roots, Cape Cod has a room to share! Leslie
Well, lucky you! Out where there will be warm and sun! Congrats!
