When doing custom work, you just have to suck it up and try to make the best of it. Not everything in my opinion is meant to be turned into needlepoint.....but over the years I have been confronted with my share of pieces that are satisfying when they are completed ,but pluck your last nerve while you are painting them....this is one of those pieces....on 18st approximately 12 "x 18" with a limited color palette and just plain fussy....water ,rocks and trees...the worst to paint...you are basically fooling the eye.... needlepoint is not subtle or soft when painted on the stitch...after all it is a grid.......nothing in the original picture was very clear...partial buildings ,a swing chair and picnic table...all important to the customer... anyway..it's done and on to the next piece....something nice and unfussy maybe...I have to pace myself so I don't go completely bonkers...lol...or more bonkers...what a glamorous life ...
