Birds of a Feather !

I mentioned spending time with our feathered friends while waiting for our house to be complete...these are four of the little feathered friends that made my wait interesting ...noisy and messy as they were..they are certainly interesting to watch as a group...coffee meetings , they all change their loud chirps to a soft mutter...until one flaps his or her wings and meeting over...during the day they have little fights over toys...or more important food...just like normal kids...my favorite move was when one would slide down the cage bars by his claws so smooth landing on the next perch.....my big thrill was shower time...this was achieved by a spray bottle ...giving them all little a spritz twice a day...they had a Nanny caretaker that feed and cleaned the never ending poo...did you know they have handy wipes called POOP BE GONE sold for this job at the pet store ...what a world we live in now....cool !!
the dogs loved the birds and were constantly covered in little feathers and stuff, better not mentioning...Omar would circle the large cage , stand up and talk to them...they didn't seem scared of the dogs, in fact one would talk back , and shake his head...I recognize each bird by it's color and markings , but never mastered the names....but then I have a hard time with peoples names sometimes....my feeling,,,people and birds should all wear a name tag...makes it soooooooo much easier...lol
