In The Beginning !!!!

When I was just a tender novice at freelancing in this business and tied myself to one Shop and carved out a place for myself doing custom work. And I designed a line of canvases that I sold to the shop...the line was called Festival Designs by Gail.... These are two examples of original designs that I marketed way before I started in the wholesale business in 2000...in fact they are such old designs I can't remember when I did them......probably in the 80's....anyway they are among many others I added to the wholesale line that ran all my designs under the name "by Gail".......these characters came right out of my head... These designs, like all others I created for this wholesale line I was paid royalties for. I received this royalty for years. When I decided to change distributors , many of these designs were not returned to me. A leased design is a leased design Upon termination of a lease these items return to the creator and owner of these designs.......Now, I will never be able to fathom is how at some point in time this person makes the decision to remove your name from these original artworks , insert the name of their choosing and misrepresent themselves as the designer. ..so their you go...life can be just plain unfair...lol...but in the end the creator is always able to create another design ....and the person taking undo credit for your work is a sad individual.... everyone is capable of creating something unique.
