Saturday Yikes...Oh Where did the Week GO !

First we got another amazing package from Saundra Campbell....wonderful models ...three flip flops...two on 13st... Minnnie the Mermaid and the Seahorse...along with my favorite the Chili Pepper ff on 18st...Saundra did a wonderful job and they are too cute....below is a picture of the mermaid... Mr. Squiggee has a picture of the other two...on his blog....
above is the second painting of EMILY...the first was for Emily when she is older...Emily was spelled out in perfume bottles ,shoes and pearls...girlie stuff......this one is for now...she is only around 19 months old...the customer now has this child covered to her teenage years...lol...I have been painting all sorts of stuff this week and we have been hard at it updating some Squiggee catalogs...when we first started to send out catalogs , there were only a handful of pages...it now is up to 85...so I have been sorting, printing, packaging, and doing some needed office work..along with my painting......we have a steady flow of mail go out of here and since the post office has gone wild with their charges, I have changed some things trying to make postage as fair as possible...I spent almost an hour on line yesterday filling out forms and trying to get a handle on sending a catalog to Canada...now I am not considered a stupid person , but the forms and questions....you would have thought I was trying to smuggle something really dreadful into Canada...and FYI.... why can't they just ask a question in terms a human can understand...what a bunch of convoluted gobblebly gook....and the prices to send priority...forget it...I finally picked first class, the forms still complicated, but I managed to struggle through them...but it this kind of thing that makes me mean and very stroppy....lol...
and to top off my day Omar has taken to sneaking up in my lap while i paint....he is not a pocket pooch !...yesterday I was having lunch at the drawing table and he managed to flip over my plate on the floor with my burritos sour cream and hot sauce...yuck and messy...luckily nothing got on the needlepoint..my first concern and like most dog owners we have a hefty supply of fantastic, rags and carpet cleaner...and added bonus some of the hot sauce Tabasco got on my paint cart wheel and when I moved it it made a skid mark ...I know...i should never should have been having lunch while near my work...lol...at least it is never dull around here...
big news i have bought a new painting apron...thrills...when my present one gets to the point of looking like the board of health might just intervene...it is time to change...i will take a picture of the old one, it will make you cringe...
