Christmas in April !

In fact...when you are a needlepoint artist it is Christmas 24/7 all year round...except for Halloween...Christmas is the mainstay of needlepoint....stockings for the family, ornaments for the tree and gifts for friends and family galore...so I am always doing Christmas, which seems funny when it is already hot here in AZ...seems more fitting if it was snowing and I had a roaring fire going...well that will never happen here...but this is the perfect time for anyone wanting to make that oh so looming finishers deadline of October 1st, to think about your Christmas projects....
I know it is the fashion to have a Christmas stocking with everything in it but the kitchen sink ( probably hidden under Santa's coat)...but my favorite stockings are simple...this custom stocking above, has all the elements presented in a very simple form and I am very fond of Snowmen....
the shape is a little strange , but the customer did that on the canvas herself...
with all the sparkle fibers at hand this should be a fun project on 13st...
