Squiggee goes to OZ !

Sometimes as a designer you get on a roll and off you go...I call it a toot ...I have had these sketches for the OZ gingerbread cookies for almost a year and hadn't done anything about them till I needed something fun and light after a run of custom work that sometimes is tedious.....so I started...and just like someone possessed , off I go...of course all the prep work for the design is complete...I see it in my head...it is just a matter of transferring it to canvas.... I have also worked the first four Dorothy ,Tin -man,Lion and Scarecrow ...these are ready for the finisher...lol.....I have been stitching at night...it is so hot here that doing anything outside is out of the question...... I hadn't worked a model myself for almost a year and a half...till I worked "Mr. Stinky"...lol...this is the 10st alligator I designed in the 80's and was one of the first pieces that went into my original by Gail wholesale line......the canvas I worked was the original painters copy so the canvas itself was way over 11 years old... he was worn out...paint blobs, stains ( not sure from what...)and the was literally rubbed off from being handled and copied God knows how many times...I had to repaint a painters copy and keep Mr. Stinky here... his new nick-name MR. STINKY ! because he smelled ,besides being unsightly....we had to fa- breeze him...... I couldn't just throw him away ...he is special..he even has the original Festival Designs by Gail on the bottom.....so I worked him up and he is just too fab...I love 10st and this also kicked me into some stitching...
between my gang of Squiggee stitchers and myself...look forward to many new models...
I have more oz gingerbread cookies to do...but I think these are plenty to get anyone started...
they are all on 13st...but as you know Squiggee can go smaller since all these designs are stitch painted so 18st is no problem...same design only smaller...they can all be seen on page 108 of our online Squiggee Catalog...at
