Above is a custom tree skirt on 10st , around 42" round....this was a 3/4 shirt for a tree that would sit in a corner...customers choice.
This is what 10st excels in, larger projects, because trust me when you get a piece this large , all of a sudden 10st looks like 18st.
This project is a big undertaking but in the end you will have a very pleasing piece of needlepoint that can be passed down in the family.
Some people choose to do skirts in sections, but I personally like one piece if possible, I think you get a more pleasing finished skirt...but this has it's limits because canvas only come so wide. we had to have the 10st 54" wide for this skirt...so it is only possible to have a round skirt.46" round in one piece.
I haven't seen the finished skirt yet...these projects sometimes take years for a customer to finish.
It is chilly this morning and the first of November which always seems to come as a surprise...especially here since it is warm and sunny all year round...might have a chilly night and morning , but once the sun does it's thing , it warms up. Works for me, I am not a fan of snow and ice...
