Just Blooming !

The sun was shinning today and all the local flora seems to be blooming at once....like the botanical gardens I visited as a child in DC...but the difference...these flowers surround us.......Omar and Squiggee napped all afternoon while I painted school ornaments and then the evening was topped off with a call from Claire in Tyler Texas.....you know Claire...... . she is the customer/friend that wanted the little Boy Scout Gingerbread Tent......she says she is almost done and promises a picture when it is completed....we discussed the girl Scout tent and of course she had some great suggestions...such as cookies...lol...I was a girl scout for just one year and to this day I can't look at a box of girl scout cookies without my mind returning to me in third grade dragging my brothers red wagon all over Bethesda Maryland selling Girl Scout Cookies door to door...my father finally in the end took masses of them to the office to help me meet my quota....seeeee, things were rough in the olden days...now the scouts take orders...lol...anyway

Claire is an old a valuable Squigger from my early days on eBay, when Squiggee Designs started...It was the girls of Texas that first discovered Squiggee and bought tons of canvases...Texas girls will always have a special place in Squiggeeland, and Claire is a rare jewel !

She also has a great sense of humor and gets me...which is no mere feat !...I am odd....

Absolutely Heaven !

As promised I have another photo taken just a block from the house....we had a big rainstorm and the sunset was just gray and moving......the terrain is just amazing and each day and night we fall in love with our new home more and more........what can I say I am like a pig in shit.....
I have some really unusual flowers blooming around the house...evertything seems to be in bloom....especially our little family....you can feel the tight cord inside unwind and peace return.......you can't beat it...

Right out my back door ?

As I promised I have posted at the top a photo of a local tree in my new neighborhood....everyone loves a mystery and so for the next few weeks we here in Squiggeeland will be giving little tidbits before we reveal our new town...for a Washingtonian like myself...it is like being on the moon ..... oh so different from PA and Colorado....CO wasn't all that interesting, since I am not so taken with mountains...they just don't do it for me...I know all Easterners crave going west to the Rockies...why I have no idea.....it totally left me cold after the intial..." Oh Look a Mountain...."...unlike the ocean that changes everyday..mountains don't.....
my new hood suites me to a tee.....who knew..lol...you never know what will seem like home...if you plant yourself in one spot and never move....
We have our first dinner party invitation here...very cool...since I spend 99% of my time in clothes covered in paint..it will be nice to get a little dressed up for a change...we have new friends and that is a treat...it would be perfect if all our dear friends were here...but visting is in the opt when you live in such a great city....where you say.....oh now...that would spoil the game...
