All finished and ready to go to Maine with a couple of it's pals...where the finisher will do her magic.....I can't say I enjoy doing background..tedious ....... adding the beads makes it rock, but adds to the tedium...my God I guess I really am a painter at heart...but then.... I hate painting background also...lol...when asked what color background do you suggest...well white of course, I say...lol.....as my husband says..."you are never happy"..lol...not true....all you have to do is pick a white background!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The background makes it sing! I never would have thought of that, as I am a white background person myself - I HATE painting background too, especially dark ones. My thought about using beads on background is that they relieve the tedium of the work and the look. Textured backgrounds usually kill the design - fight with it.
