For someone born at George Washington Hospital and never venturing farther West than West Virginia...the colors are unreal...as a painter you can't imagine how humble you feel when God does his thing....these photos I took just an hour ago at dusk, show how beautiful the West really is..these were taken right outside the kitchen door facing West at dusk... imagine the Rockies right out your door....this really is a vast country once you get away from the congestion of the East Coast....I think I am falling in love with the seer open space..........I can see what people come out here for...to catch your breath and just enjoy....

I am so very glad you're "seeing" it!! I love this country, and could never bear living in congestion of cities - even Austin. I feel you will be newly inspired and do even more wonderful work here - you ain't seen nothin' yet!! It's unbelievable in summer with snow on the moutains, and sunshine below. Summer camp in the foothills above Boulder was Paradise when I was a child. A visual feast for the heart and soul.
as the say on the East Coast !
True That !
