First ...today was my birthday and it was filled with so many messages..cards...a girlie cake...and even a dear friend left a message on my cell phone and sang happy birthday...
the puppies gave me bunches of kisses and a wonderful card...a dear friend presented me with the most amazing hand made and designed bracelet and matching earrings....the day started with OJ and sausage biscuits from Mickey D's and fresh home brewed coffee...we were up early because Omar had an appointment to be clipped. His summer cut.....he looks like a Nancy Boy in a leotard, sporting black high heeled boots...his fur grows so fast and so dense that we thought he would be a little more comfortable with a short cut...he has long skinny legs, like his father...lol...I know that was mean...but all in good fun.....

Now, on to the needlepoint designs you are seeing...these are part of a series in 2002 that I created , using a minimalist palette and I kept the design elements very simple...they were worked and made into oblong pillows , finished in a faux suede..very rich ....

I am ashamed, but I must have more cake with my coffee...never leave cake un-eaten at my age, because you might not wake -up and wouldn't that be tragic...to die without finishing your cake...after all birthday cake comes but once a year...oh yum..
