OK ...first let me say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAM....!!!

She has so many fans here in Squiggeeland...she is working on yet another model for

us...She is the fabulous stitcher that worked Gertie the Giraffe....and now she is spinning her magic on a companion in this series of little shaped stand-up animals...Luke the Lion...I have seen pictures and he is top drawer..( a great expression from the old Auntie Mame movie starring Rosiland Russell)

the Squiggee Gang...

Now on to the continuing saga...

This morning, while researching some pictures, I stumbled upon a great little find...the original pictures that I always take of a design before it leaves my studio...It has a time and original date...saving me looking through the vast mound of records and for the creation date...lucky day...

The above star of all the states was designed to top the display tree sporting a whole series of the 50 states I created ...amazing how different ,and yet the same, some states are...for instance some neighboring states had a state bird in common.....of course some research was just information ...a song or drink...like Ohio's State beverage is tomato juice...not helpful for an image on these very tiny ornaments...but a great little bit of information to bring up during a lull in conversation at a party...makes you sound so booky...lol...

anyway...the star was created 10/25/2006 and as you can see I added a little bit of Squiggee to it at the time by outlining it with light beads...

This is such and interesting series that I plan to display one picture of each and every state over the next weeks with their creation date...

today is just one of those days when you like to use little catch phases...

we move into our new house tomorrow and my studio awaits...our friends have been great...affording us time to unpack and organize...this is the first house I have ever lived in that has more storage space..aka...built ins, closets..shelves than we have stuff...oh lucky me...room to breathe...
